Welcome to First Years
Nursery & Preschool

Our Early Childhood Ministry is designed to partner with parents in teaching little ones that ‘God made me’, ‘God loves me’, and ‘Jesus wants to be my friend forever’. We use hands-on teaching, worship, Scripture memory, storytelling, crafts, activities, and games in a safe, nurturing environment in which your child can grow.

Our goal is to follow Deuteronomy 6:6-7, and equip parents as we teach children diligently in all that we do.

“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Programming Times

On Sundays, we offer a fully staffed nursery & preschool for morning worship services, groups, and classes. Our toddlers and two year olds participate in developmentally appropriate storytelling, crafts, and worship each Sunday. Our threes, fours, and fives have a fun morning exploring our Clubhouse as they learn basic Biblical truths and about the God that loves them.

On Wednesday nights during the school year at the North Garnett Campus, we offer programming from 6:15 – 7:45 PM for children whose parents are serving or attending on-site groups.

Common Questions Asked by Visiting Parents:
Who will care for my child?

The Early Childhood Ministry is staffed entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers have been strategically placed by an application and background check process. We have specific worker/child ratios that have been established by our Early Childhood ministry team. Check out what we’re learning below!

How do I check my child in?

During your first visit head to the Connecting Point desk and one of our Connecting Point volunteers will enter your child’s information into our check-in system.  Your child’s security tags will then be printed. One tag is placed on your child’s back, the other tag with your child’s information and security number remains with you. You will need this security tag to pick your child up at the end of service. Your child is now ready to come to our Early Childhood area.

How do I pick up my child?
To pick up your child, present your child’s security tag to the volunteer at the Early Childhood counter. The volunteer will then release your child into your care.
