The holiday season is in full swing! With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas ahead, it is a time for gratitude and giving. But as we fill up on pie and search for all the Black Friday deals, it’s important that we don’t get lost in the season’s festivities and lose sight of the heart of the matter. In the classic 1964 film, Mary Poppins, she made a well-known statement: “Enough is as good as a feast.” To be content with having your needs met truly brings freedom. But today, it is hard not to fall into the trap of desiring more, bigger, better. To be seduced into greed. But the Bible has much to say about this.
