Next Steps.

We want to help you take your next steps as a believer.

Discover First Church

If you have been attending First Church and are ready to take the next step towards becoming a part of our family, the Discover First Church event is for you. During this time, you will discover what we believe as a Church, where we come from, where we’re going, and how you can connect and be a part of God’s ministry here with us.

Life Groups

Life Groups and Classes are the way to get connected at First Church. We believe God works in mighty ways when His people come together. Whether you’re a long time member or have only attended a few times, we’ve got a place for you. We have groups that meet all over the 918.

Serve

One of the best ways to get connected and one of the ways to serve Jesus here is through one of the ministries at First Church and in your community! There are several opportunities both inside your church and outside the church that we can help you get involved in and make a difference. We want to partner with you to find God’s plan & purpose for your life. We are passionate about getting individuals out of the stands, and onto the field!

Baptism

Baptism illustrates Christ’s burial and resurrection, and is your entry into a new life in Christ Jesus.

“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.” – Romans 6:3-5

Why Should I Be Baptized By Immersion?

  • Because Jesus was baptized that way.
    – Matthew 3:16
  • Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion.
    – Acts 8:38-39
  • Immersion best symbolizes burial and resurrection.
    – Romans 6:3-5

Be Baptized At Home.

Download the directions for “baptisms at home.” If you have a bathtub, swimming pool, hot tub, feed trough, or whatever… immersion into Christ can take place. Just follow the instructions and someone can baptize you in your home. Make sure you take pictures or video this moment and send it to us! We’d love to celebrate with you!
