Culture is constantly shifting, and it pressures us to go along with it. As the world moves further away from God, we’re called to live upstream in a downstream world. This shouldn’t surprise us. Jesus warned: “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. So be as clever as snakes and as innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16, NCV). So, how do we do that? How do we live for God when it isn’t easy? The book of Daniel is a playbook for doing this well. It will show us how to live out our faith while serving our culture for God.

In late 2021, First Church entered a new season of ministry. Our church family boldly trusted God's calling on us for 100% engagement. We named the journey, "Unstoppable."  Unstoppable is Kingdom expansion rooted in our sincere desire to impact the 918 and beyond with the life-changing message of Jesus. In the last two years, attendance, serving, giving, and most importantly, the number of people baptized at First Church reached an all-time high in our 118-year history. Through Unstoppable generosity, we've been able to support, and in some cases, expand support for ministry partners locally and globally all while expanding our N. Garnett Road campus. We are wrapping up the largest phase of expansion for the Unstoppable initiative. Our new elementary ministry area is now hosting kids for programming!
