Discipleship is a Team Sport

As followers of Jesus, our goal is to become like Jesus. This, however, doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intentional pursuit of and surrender to the Jesus-shaped way of life. Many people settle for versions of Christianity that wildly fall short of the transformation Jesus wants to do in our lives. They define “Christian” as someone who merely “goes to church” and “believes the right stuff.” However, following Jesus is a practice; it’s a way of life; it’s a relationship with Him. Jesus is the goal. Let’s not aim for lesser trophies and prizes that are eternally insufficient of what Jesus wants for us. Let’s follow the way of Jesus and "go for gold" to reach our full human potential in Him.
