OWASSO COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER
Owasso Community Resources is dedicated to transforming the lives of families facing economic hardship by providing basic needs: food, utility, rent and job search assistance. They provide basic needs for families facing economic hardship. They provide help and hope through emergency food, utility and rent assistance, on-site counseling services through partner agencies, job search assistance and referrals to area agencies. Seasonally, they provide back to school supplies, Thanksgiving food baskets and Christmas gifts to children and disabled adults and are committed to transforming families and helping them move closer to a long-term self-sufficiency.
Potential Volunteer Opportunities
They have general volunteer hours which are Monday-Friday 8:30-2pm.
These events include food pickup at local groceries (everyday), unload food, sort food, from 8:30-10:30
Food distribution to the local community/clients-11-2
Anyone can participate during this time, groups are welcome. If our members attend in groups there is no background checks required. He didn’t act super concerned about that.
Group Events
Our groups can volunteer together if they wish to do so. This include bagging items up and get them ready for distribution.
